Tulbagh Winery was founded in 1906 and is the country's oldest co-operative cellar. It was originally established with the participation of 12 farms. Today, there are more than 80 growers that are members. It became a company in 2012. The winery has access to 2 500ha of vines, the bulk of which comprises Chenin blanc, and sources fruit from diverse regions including Dwarskersbos, Piketberg, Bergrivier, Porterville, Halfmanshof, Riebeeck and Tulbagh. In addition to wine, Tulbagh Winery produces extra virgin olive oil under the Secluded Valley label.
