Rhebokskloof Wine Estate
Paarl Wine Route
Rhebokskloof Wine Estate lies between the granite hills of the Paarl Rock Mountains. Rhebokskloof dates to 1692, when Simon van der Stel, then governor of the Cape, awarded a free grant of land to Dirk van Schalkwyk. It was later divided into six farms with the original farm only reclaimed in 1986, when new owners bought back the other five properties. An early dwelling built around 1692 has since been restored as the main homestead. Today, the winery's signature varieties are Shiraz and Chardonnay. In addition to the wines, it offers function and wedding facilities, a restaurant and various adventure activities such as MTB.
