Perdeberg Winery (Pty) Ltd
Paarl Wine Route
It was astute farmer Jan Rossouw who first floated the idea of the vinous collaboration. Soon after, Perdeberg Cellar was born. Its first grapes were pressed manually in 1942. The year 1956 was pivotal for the winery, when it appointed its first full-time winemaker, Joseph Huskisson. Another major milestone came in 2010, when it took on its first full-time viticulturist. Today, Perdeberg Winery is supplied by growers and vineyards over 2 070ha in extent. The majority are unirrigated and 50% are untrellised. In addition to an extensive range of wines, Perdeberg Winery also produces an MCC sparkling wine from Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir.
