La Vierge Wines
Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Valley
Meaning ‘The Virgin’ in French, La Vierge takes its inspiration from the surrounding Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. The winery was originally planned and designed by the Johnson family in 1997. The subsequent owners extensively renovated the property. Work was completed in early 2007, establishing a new home for La Vierge and its wines. Today it has an extravagant tasting room and restaurant on the upper level, with a double-volume winery on the north side. On the south side of the building, there's a sunken maturation room.
