La Petite Dauphine is a picturesque estate of 13,5ha set amongst vineyards, olive groves, and fruit orchards. Louis Matthee and Gert Gertzen acquired the property in the early 2000s. Following extensive renovation, the historic working fruit and wine farm today offers luxury accommodation and has a strong tourism focus. Veruska’s Wine Bar, situated across a courtyard from Bistro BonBon, offers wine tasting for selected Franschhoek wineries. The two wines – a Chardonnay and Viognier – are produced from fruit on the farm and made for La Petite Dauphine by a winery in the valley.
