Gabrielskloof

Perched atop a hillside overlooking the town of Bot River is a family run wine estate called Gabrielskloof. The farm is an hour from Cape Town and just off a national highway, but when you enter into it's stone walled surrounds, you feel miles away from anything. The land was covered in wheat fields and a few wandering sheep as recently as 2000; but is now a state-of-the-art cellar, tasting room and restaurant, aiming to make quality wines that best reflect the complexity, richness and diversity of the areas unique terroir.
