Constantia Wine Route
Constantia Glen is a 60ha farm that sits just below the mountain peaks of the Cape Peninsula. It has been in the Waibel family since the late 1950s, but farming only re-started in the mid-1990s, when vines were replanted. The first wines emerged in 2005 and a new winery followed two years later. Half the property is given over to vine with the majority being red varieties. Its altitude and proximity to the ocean allow the wines to benefit from a cool climate, something that can be experienced first-hand from veranda of the Constantia Glen tasting room, which serves light meals too.
