Black Oystercatcher is a family-run wine farm at the southernmost tip of Africa. Its wines develop in Cape Agulhas’ extreme growing conditions, giving them a character associated with cool climate varieties. Having farmed in the region for generations, the Human family have come to know this climate of constant coastal wind and landscape with marginal soils and unique geology. In fact, its land has been dedicated to conservation, forming part of the Nuwejaars Wetland Special Management Area (SMA). In addition to wine, Black Oystercatcher is home to the Fraser's Folly beer brewery and a restaurant, offers accommodation and hosts weddings too.
