Benguela Cove

Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Valley

Restaurant

The 200ha Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate lies on the banks of the Bot River lagoon and caters to diverse tourist needs. The property was acquired in 2013 by UK entrepreneur Penny Streeter who launched a major re-development of the site. On the wine front, it has 70ha under vine that supplies a modern, 400-ton winery. It produces a range from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Sémillon, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Mourvèdre grapes. The estate also comprises 10ha planted to olives, various dining alternatives including a restaurant, a children's activity centre and a residential estate.
