Brandvlei Cellar gets its name from the nearby hot water springs while the adjoining Jonaskop Mountain is depicted on the labels of its BC Wines portfolio. A grower-owned enterprise, it was founded in 1955 and was originally situated next to the dam of the same name. When the dam was enlarged in 1974 the cellar relocated to its current home on the R43 road between Worcester and Villiersdorp. A small portion of the grapes are used for its own portfolio of red and white wines, as well as the production of grape juice.
