The Barrydale region has a long history of brandy making and Barrydale Cellar has built on this to become one of South Africa’s top pot still brandy producers, competing with – and beating – international brands at international level. But there is more than brandy to the cellar. Its Barrydale range of wines carries the name of the country’s smallest region of origin, Tradouw. Grapes for the range are grown on a mere 15km x 3km, a unique, fruitful pocket in the breathtaking Langeberg Mountains where vines flourish.

Today the raw brick walls, aged cement roof and stacked wine barrels along with the rustic copper light fixtures and glass windows creates a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. You will also find a complete Brewing room, situated behind a glass wall, where on certain days you can see first-hand how our delicious Lady Lager and Barry Ale craft beer, gets brewed. Although our main dishes at the restaurant consists of a variety of saucy, cheesy, pizza’s, our culinary team can satisfy every taste bud, always producing good quality, decadent food and snacks bursting with flavour. You can also have a brandy and wine tasting at the Tasting Room or a wine pairing at the restaurant ( wine pairings only available when booked )
