The 47ha farm was acquired by winemaker Kevin and Hanli Grant, and friends, in 2004. It immediately adopted a stylistic approach to defer completely to the sites from which the different grapes are sourced. The vines lie in a terroir heavily influenced by their proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Rootstock was matched to the vineyard soil type and the owners pursued the best scion material available in the country. The resulting wines are made to reflect this effort and location. In addition, the farm has become well-known for its chapel-like wine lounge perched high on a hill at the foot of the Babylonstoring Mountains.
