Experience

Just a stone’s throw from the centre of Cape Town lies the Durbanville Wine Route. The unique area with its twelve wine farms is defined by a special sense of warm hospitality, authenticity and freshness - all centred around exceptional wine.

Calling the adventurous and active… pull on those trail shoes and bring along that bike! Mountain bikers and trail runners will find a multitude of scenic trails and events to enjoy in the valley all year round.

The Durbanville Wine Route gives modern travellers, Cape Town locals, tourists and young families an opportunity to escape and unwind.

Wineries

The Durbanville Wine Valley is one of the Cape’s coolest wine regions because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the cooling morning mists that roll into the valley during the ripening period. The winemakers are passionate about reflecting this unique terroir in all of their wines and the result is a magnificent range of intense, fruit-driven yet elegant wines.

Each of the twelve wine farms has a restaurant offering intimate, seasonal food experiences to complement their delicious wines. Most of the wine farms also serve platters filled with cheeses, charcuterie, fresh breads and other seasonal produce to be enjoyed with wine tastings.
